Embryology History - Douglas Reid
Introduction
Douglas G. Reid, M.B., Ch.B. Edin., B.A. Trin. Coll. Camb., was a Demonstrator of Anatomy an the University of Cambridge, Trinity College. He carried out a series of studies (see reference list) from 1908 to 1914 on the development of the gastrointestinal tract and mesenteries using a number of human fetuses from the Cambridge Anatomy Museum collection.
