Generating an Automated PubMed Search

The code required to search for "fertilization" publications on PubMed for fertilisation is shown below.

Here is what it looks like on the page. Note that just because it is listed in PubMed Central does not mean that you can use the image (read the Help:Copyright Tutorial)

Using References on your Page/Project

The following help page (Help:Reference Tutorial) shows how to cite research/sources on your page if they are listed on the PubMed (Medicine) database.

The code required to add a PubMed citation is shown below.

<ref name="PMIDXXXXX"><pubmed>XXXXX</pubmed></ref>

• The citation will appear as a superscript number where there code is pasted.
• The reference list will appear where the following code is placed on the page.

<references/>

Put a sub-heading called "References" above this code. To make it easy to find.

Just the number proceeded by PMID will also generate a link to the PubMed reference. PMID 17304021
