Introduction
|
Just like the embryo, this website continues to grow, change and develop. With the update in website software we have had to change the way movies will play and hopefully the new player and MP4 format will be stable on all viewing platforms. I am always happy to receive feedback.
- Movies are still currently being added to this page.
- Simple animations can be seen in Category:Animation. These movies are in animated GIF format, the page may take time to open as all image files download.
Development is a dynamic process with structures changing (shape, name and relationships) over time and the best way to show this is with dynamic images, such as movies. This current page introduces the various movies and animations in UNSW Embryology that illustrate many different aspects of development.

Mobile Users
If the animation above is not visible, you should use the Quicktime Movies linked below.
While many portable devices will play Flash animations, all Apple products (iPad, iPhone and iPod Touch) require the quicktime movie versions. Either use the Quicktime Movies page or use the links below labelled "Quicktime".
Note that the iPhone and iPod Touch also have a cut down web version Mobile Embryo formatted for their screen size.
Lets hope HTML5 video will sort all this out.
