Human Embryo (CRL 7.5 mm)

The embryo CRL suggests that of Carnegie stage 15 (Week 5, 35 - 38 days, 7 - 9 mm). Note there is great variability in embryo measurements due to changes that occur with fixation.

There embryo surface has been removed and various cutouts made to show key features at this developmental stage including cardiovascular and somites.


The original model stands about 1 m high and is part of the Blechschmidt Collection.
