This is the tenth volume byKer published in 1909 in the series Normal Plates of the Development of Vertebrates edited by Franz Keibel. John Graham Kerr (1869 – 1957) was a Scottish zoologist (Cambridge) who travelled to South America in the swamps of the Gran Chaco in Paraguay. Here he found the South American lungfish (Lepidosiren) eaten by the native peoples and collected embryos for his staging sequence.
