Pancreatic Islets
The pancreatic islets (Islets of Langerhans) contain four distinct endocrine cell types.

Alpha Cells
- glucagon, mobilizes lipid
Beta Cells
- insulin, increase glucose uptake
Delta Cells
- somatostatin, inhibits glucagon, insulin secretion
F-cells
- pancreatic polypeptide
