* By day 5 the blastocyst has a large blastocoel (fluid-filled space) with a single layer of thin (squamous) cells forming the trophectoderm.
* The inner cell mass can be seen to the left of the blastocoel.

Human Conceptus (day 5)

  • By day 5 the blastocyst has a large blastocoel (fluid-filled space) with a single layer of thin (squamous) cells forming the trophectoderm.
