Emil Zuckerkandl
Emil Zuckerkandl (1849 – 1910) was a Hungarian-Austrian anatomist.
He first identified in fetuses in 1901 the chromaffin body derived from neural crest located at the bifurcation of the aorta or at the origin of the inferior mesenteric artery. This paraganglia is also called the "organ of Zuckerkandl".
