Dandy Walker Malformation Magnetic Resonance Image
Sagittal b-FFE image of a fetal brain at 26 W shows a markedly enlarged posterior fossa with elevated tentorium cerebelli (black arrow). The large cisterna magna communicates freely with the 4th ventricle due to defective cerebellum. The associated marked hydrocephalus and posterior cephalocele (white arrow) indicate poor postnatal outcome with higher recurrence risk and incidence of chromosomal abnormalities. |
