Mark Hill - Citation for Outstanding Contributions to Student Learning 2011

Dr Mark Hill

Citation

For design and development of innovative online educational resources providing a sustained contribution to medical education.

Synopsis

The applicant developed internationally-recognised biomedical education resources, distributed as freely accessible online content. These resources, many previously available only to specialized scholars, have been used by over 5,000 UNSW students, and accessed annually by over 1 million users worldwide. They are incorporated into Australian and international curricula, and recognized by leading journals in the field. These materials motivate students to explore topics, contribute content, and share knowledge with their peers often beyond their undergraduate studies.
