Artery Histology
The tunica intima of elastic arteries will be thicker than in other arteries.
Elastin stain will show:
- inner elastic laminae
- outer elastic laminae
- fine elastic fibres in the tunica media
- coarse elastic fibres between the collagen fibres of the tunica adventitia
