| This historic 1938 paper by Anson and others is part of a series (1, 2, 3, and 4) describing middle ear and associated structure development. This third paper covers the embryo to fetal period. Note that Bast, a coauthor on some of this series, also had a similar earlier series of related papers on the development of the otic capsule (1, 2, and 3).
