Thyroid Histology
- consists almost entirely of rounded cysts or follicles.
- cells surrounding the follicle form a simple cuboidal epithelium.
- separated by small amounts interfollicular connective tissue.
- capillaries located in the interstices between the thyroid follicles.
- C cells are very difficult to identify.
