Fig. 2. Surface view of the brain of an embryo 80 mm. long (No. 234:). Slightly enlarged from a photograph by Dr. Mellus. Over the region of the island the extravasation is extensive, while over the rest of the brain it is in spots along the arterioles, as they penetrate the brain.
