Der Schnitt trifft die Hemisphären im Bereich der verdickten Lamina ter- minalis, welche durchzogen wird von der Commissura anterior, deren Verlauf nach au6en verfolgt werden kann; femer ist getroffen das Chiasma opticum und der Recessus opticus ventriculi tertii. Die zwischen die Hemisphären hinein- ragende Falx cerebri zeigt eine Verdickung. In der Lamina terminalis sind außer Fornixfasern auch Fasern zu erkennen, welche als erste Anlage des Corpus callosum gedeutet werden können. In den Seitenventrikel ragt das Corpus striatum hinein, weiter lateral erscheinen Bündel der Capsula interna und darauf der Nucleus lentiformis.
