Human Pronuclear Stage Cytoplasmic LameIlae

  • Cytoplasmic annulate lameIlae as seen in a section perpendicular to the surface of the membranous sheets.
  • The majority of the cisternae have dilated, ampullar ends.
  • Some of the lamellae join at regularly spaced intervals (arrows).
  • In other lamellae, the areas of membrane adhesions are less numerous.
  • This appearance is probably due to the plane of sectioning.
