Fetal Kidney Histology

Human fetal gestation week 12 (GA) developing glomerulus.

Note the presence of nucleated red blood cells in the capillary beds.

Bowman's capsule - a cup-shaped double epithelium around the glomerulus of the nephron in the kidney. Named after Sir William Bowman (1816-1892) an English physician and physiologist.
