Bone Histology

  • Compact bone (x10) (Stain - Schmorl's Stain)
  • Lacunae and canaliculi are dark brown to black whilst bone matrix is yellow or brownish-yellow.
  • Volkmann’s canal can be seen on the left of image joining 2 Haversian canals.
