Liver Histology - Portal Triad
A portal triad is a group of three vessels:
- a branch of the portal vein
- a branch of the hepatic artery
- a branch of the bile duct
- Portal triads are embedded in interlobular connective tissue.
- Also known as a portal system, when you include the associated lymphatic vessel.
