Human Pronuclear Stage - Pronuclear Envelope
- The space between the two sheets of the pronuclear envelope is zonally enlarged due to blebbing of the outer sheet toward the cytoplasm (e).
- Spheroidal or elongated vesicles are contained in these dilated regions.
- The vesicles are bound by membranes which arc always distinct from the pro- nuclear envelope.
- The vesicles are similar to the small ER vesicles present in the cytoplasm.
- They may represent cndoplasmic reticulum components which have become associated with the pronuclei (PN).
