Sirenomelia
Sirenomelia (mermaid syndrome) Rare developmental abnormality (incidence of 0.8-1 case /100000 births), male to female ratio 3:1. Characteristics include a single fused lower limb with multiple urogenital and anorectal malformations, the condition has been associated with maternal diabetes. Named after the mythical Greek sirens.
