Mouse Embryo (E18.5) Cochlea SEM
- Inner hair cells IHC (single row) and outer hair cells OHC (3 rows).
- Hair cell layers are separated by reticular lamina, the surface of the rods of corti cells. Rods of corgi cells extend down to the basilar membrane.
- Hair cells stereocilia can be seen arranged in a shallow "V" shape similar to an "organ pipe" arrangement.
