Live imaging of an early Cdx2-eGFP mouse blastocyst. A Cdx2-eGFP+ cell moves from the outside to the inside of the embryo while decreasing the Cdx2 expression.


Caudal-Type Homeobox Transcription Factor 2 (Cdx2) - required for trophoblast development, yolk sac mesoderm vasculogenesis, allantoic growth, and chorioallantoic fusion. Homeodomain protein that can bind an A/T-rich sequence in the insulin promoter activating transcription.
