  • a - the normal fetus has a crown-heel length corresponding to the crown-heel length of the anencephalus as calculated from the length of the inferior extremity by the Calkins-Scammon formula. (Inferior extremity (mm.) = 0.43 CH (mm.) - 7.11 rnm.).
  • b - the normal fetus has a crown-heel length equal to that of the anencephalus as calculated from the length of the superior extremity by the Calkins-Scammon formula. (Superior extremity (mm.) = 0.4 CH (mm. - 4.0 mm.).
