General View of the whole ovum in Section 26.1.1. In the cavity of the blastocyst are seen the ainnio-embryonic rudiment and yolk—sac. Ap.e. Aperture of entrance occupied by the operculum cut considerably to one side of the centre. The section for purpose of the drawing was projected without an eye-piece. Consequently the drawing is reversed from the usual microscopic picture which is shown in the photomicrograph fig. 4.
