Human Embryo Skin 9 to 11 Week (EGA)

Transmission electron micrograph (TEM) of the full thickness early stratified fatal epidermis. Epidermis has stratified to three layers. Note the coarse bundles of keratin filaments associated with the periphery of the intermediate cells (circled); the keratin filament bundles (arrows) are enlarged in j.
