George Bartelmez (1885 -1967)

A Fellow in Zoology at the University of Chicago from 1907 and received his Ph.D. (bilaterality of the pigeon's egg) in embryology in 1910. Developed the human embryological collection in the Anatomy Department of the University of Chicago. In 1926 with H.M. Evans wrote a description of human embryo development during the period of early somite formation.
