Fetal Temporomandibular Joint

Human fetus (95 mm GL; 12th week of development).

Frontal section. (Stain - Haematoxylin Eosin) Bar = 200u m.

The superior and inferior joint cavities are visible. Articular disc (D). Blood vessel (V); squamous part of temporal bone (S); mandibular condyle (C); superficial temporal artery (TA).
