Development Animation - Vertebra

Animation shows the events of sclerotome development and division into the vertebra and intervertebral disc. Also shown is the relationship to the spinal cord segmental nerve (spinal nerve) outgrowth in relation to the vertebral column.

white - lefthand side, neural tube at spinal cord level.
red - middle, sclerotome and then vertebra and intervertebral disc
red - righthand side, developing skeletal muscle.
