**Historic Embryology**
	Theodor Schwann (1810 - 1882), a German physiologist, was the first to discover "Schwann cells" in the peripheral nervous system. He was also along with Matthias Jakob Schleiden (1804-1881) in 1838 the developer of the "cell theory".
