**Historic Embryology**
	Theodor Schwann (1810 - 1882), was a German physiologist and the first to discover "Schwann cells" in the peripheral nervous system. He was also, along with Matthias Jakob Schleiden (1804-1881), in 1838 the developer of the "cell theory".
