Prof. Domenech-Mateu was for more than 25 years the head of the Department and the one who began the embryo collection.

When he retired, he donated all his collection to the University but part of the information about the collection is lost.

  • aprox. 200 human specimens
  • 600 (rats, gallus domesticus, arctocegus Calabarensis, dog, Leghorn Cornis , etc.) specimens.
  • We are presently collect information from the doctoral thesis on embryology performed in the Department during the last 30 years.
  • I am also separating the best histological human specimens to Scan and making an excel table with all the information (section, staining, etc. ) of each specimen.
  • I plan is to finish the excel at the end of July 2016
  • Then, we will know exactly the number of specimens we have for scanning.
