Adult Nephron Distribution

The pattern of nephron distribution along the collecting ducts in adult mammalian kidney, and its characteristic pyramid shape.

Renal pyramid, also called Malpighi's pyramid after Marcello Malpighi (1628–1694) an Italian anatomist.
