Immediate cause of death appeared to be primarily pulmonary. although the clinical information given is too meager to be certain. The heart was greatly enlarged and showed a fibrinous pericarditis. No trace of a valvula foraminis ovalis could be seen and the unguarded foramen ovale was of enormous size measuring 40 by 47 mm. in the fixed specimen. | ||
