Localization of Pluripotency Markers
Hatched mouse blastocysts alkaline phosphatase activity and Oct-4 are markers for pluripotency, while TROMA-1 is a marker for trophectoderm specification.
- a - red alkaline phosphatase (AP) activity.
- b - red Oct-4 expression.
- c - green TROMA-1 expression (cytokeratin 8, Endo A; cytokeratin-like filaments present in trophectoderm and endodermal cells)
blue - DAPI was used for nuclear DNA counterstaining. Scale = 30 μm.
