2.6-4.6mm CRL (Stage 13, 3-5mm - Stage 7, 0.4mm)

3.Approximately when do the cranial (anterior) and caudal (posterior) neuropores close in the human embryo?

Cranial neuropore - Carnegie Stage 11, approx. 24 days (takes only a few hours to close)

Caudal nueropore - Carnegie Stage 12, approx. 26 days (takes about a day to close)

Vitelline arteries - contributes to adult GIT arteries. Vitelline veins - contributes to the adult portal system.

4. What stem cells are found in abundance, and may be harvested from the placenta for therapeutic uses?
