The boundaries between the ventricular zone (VZ), inner subventricular zone (iSVZ) and outer SVZ (oSVZ) are identified through a combination of DAPI, Tau-1, Tbr2 and Pax6 staining.

In the caption you could have explained what DAPI, Tau-1, Tbr2 and Pax6 mean.
