Week 11 Midgut
This is a hand drawn of the week 11 fetal midgut. It is based off the images from Martin V, Shaw-Smith C, [1]. The Midgut is now completely inside the abdominal cavity shown by the green in the illustration. This article focuses on midgut malrotation, however in doing so describes the retraction of the herniated midgut back into the abdominal cavity due to the rapidly growing abdominal cavity.
