This is a redrawn diagram illustrating the origin of the female genital organs from the Mullerian ducts. The Mullerian ducts (A) are separated into an upper and lower part, both developing into the mature internal female organs (B). The lower part is the origin of the vagina and uterus, whereas the upper part is the origin of the uterine tube. Redrawn from [1]
