Cleavag stage embryo

This image shows the growth receptors involved in the cleavage-stage of embryo development. The red stain is with propidium iodide indicating the nuclei. The green staining areas indicate the ligand-receptor pairs for EGF/EGF receptor, IGF-1/IGF-1 receptors GM-CSF/GM-CSF receptor BDNF/TrkB, CSF-1/CSF-1 receptor, atermin, GDNF/Anti-GFR alpha 3. EGF is epidermal growth facto, IGF-1 is Insuline-like growth factor 1, GM-CSF is granulocyte-macrophage colony-stimulating factor, BDNF/TrkB is brain-derived neurotrophic factor and TrkB is the common receptor, CSF-1 is colony stimulating factor 1 and GDNF is glia derived neurotrophic factor.[1]
