Discarded zygotes obtained from IVF program used to form triploid embryos. Specific antibodies were then introduced against various ligand-receptor pairs such as IGF-1/IGF-1 receptor in which green signals were yielded due to immunofluorescence. Red signals were generated as propidium iodide was used to stain embryonic nuclei. Furthermore, growth factors were used to aid in embryonic development and promote blastocyst growth.
