Reproductive surgeries in the female

Total hysterectomy involves the removal of the uterus and cervix. Supracervical hysterectomy spares the cervix. Radical hysterectomy removes the uterus, cervix, some of the vagina and surrounding tissue such as the lymph nodes. Hysterectomy with bilateral oophorectomy is a total hysterectomy with removal of both the fallopian tubes and ovaries. Oopherectomy is the removal of the fallopian tube and ovary, and can be bilateral as mentioned. Trachelectomy is the removal of the cervix, sparing the uterus.
