Aim:
-study impact of low-dose growth hormone (GH) supplementation for patients with poor ovarian response (POR) in IVF
-GH participates in follicular development by regulating gonadotropins in granulosa cells by regulating synthesis of IGF-I--> plays important role in synthesis of sex steroids and oocyte maturation
-GH has been in use since 1990s for IVF but showed mixed results, therapeutic advantages only in women of advanced reproductive age
-GH dose in IVF supplementation is same as commonly used in patients with GH-deficiency, but POR patients are not GH-deficient --> lower dose
