Project 4 Page Loading Problem

--Mark Hill (talk) 11:16, 21 October 2014 (EST) Dear Group 4, there still appears to be an issue with something on your group project page.

A database query error has occurred. This may indicate a bug in the software.

I had deleted the powerpoint link so it was not that alone, but something done on the edits last weekend. There are no other projects with a similar problem and the same problem occurs if your content is copied and pasted onto a new blank page.

I suggest the following temporary solution and should be done by only one team member and no editing until the page loads correctly.

  1. You should be able to open your original page with this code. https://embryology.med.unsw.edu.au/embryology/index.php?title=2014_Group_Project_4&action=edit
  2. Then take the entire text from the current page and save into your own text document.
  3. Now open this new project page https://embryology.med.unsw.edu.au/embryology/index.php?title=2014_Group_Project_9 and go to edit mode https://embryology.med.unsw.edu.au/embryology/index.php?title=2014_Group_Project_9&action=edit
  4. Leave all the existing content on this page, including the references sub-heading.
  5. Now paste back section by section your project from the text document, saving at each stage. At some point the database error will occur again and can indicate the part of your project that is causing the problem.

Note that even if the "database error" occurs again on this new page, you can still open and edit the page with this link https://embryology.med.unsw.edu.au/embryology/index.php?title=2014_Group_Project_9&action=edit

In the meantime if the group members still wish to work, you can still upload files and also edit your own sub-headings on your own personal discussion pages and add back when coding problem identified.
