Carnegie Stage 23 - Transverse

This movie shows an unlabeled transverse MRI scan (cranial caudal) through a Kyoto embryo (stage 23, week 8) facing upward. The movie starts at the head of the embryo and scans through the trunk to the pelvis and lower limbs. A labeled version of this movie will also be made available.

The size and shape of the brain and its divisions.
The position of the eyes and inner ear.
The position of the heart and the bright outflow and inflow tracts.
The bright liver filling the entire ventral wall.
