Development of the Human FaceMovie shows a quick animation of the ventral views of the human embryo face, between Carnegie stage 16 to stage 18 (Week 6 to Week 7). Note the initial prominence of the pharyngeal arches and nasal region. Then the development of the midline frontonasal region and the relative shifting of the nasal region from lateral to anterior location on to the developing face.
