<Flowplayer height="325" width="320" autoplay="true">Parental_genome_mix_02.flv</Flowplayer> Movie shows initial parental genomes mixing in early embryonic mitosis.

This movie shows that up to the 4 cell stage in the preimplantation embryo, the distribution of the 2 parental genomes remain segregated.

After this stage, there is a gradual mixing of the 2 genomes with each cell division.
