Summary
The final step in producing a transgenic organism. The fertilized rabbit oocyte with the recombinant DNA is implanted into the uterine wall of a pregnant female rabbit (dam). The dam will give birth to a transgenic rabbit with the desired gene incorporated into its genome allowing to display the desired phenotype.
