Human Embryo (Carnegie stage 13) Face

Ventral view of the upper half of the Stage 13 embryo showing the ventral features of the face and pharyngeal arch development.

As the embryo is tightly bent into a "C shape" at these early stages this ventral region cannot easily be seen without removing the embryo body (as in this view).
