Isolated germinal vesicle (nucleus) of Rami pipiens

Nucleus isolated in calcium-free Ringer's solution, from stage 6, showing sac-like organelles which protrude from the nuclear membrane. The cloud of central nucleoli surrounds and obscures the chromosome frame.
